Our Beginning
Electric Drilling Technologies began its journey in the Barnett Shale in 2008, supporting drilling operations at the DFW Airport. What started as a technical challenge became the foundation of our innovative approach to grid power solutions.

Breaking New Ground
From Complex Beginnings to Seamless Power Switching
The grid power installations at the airport were cumbersome, requiring multiple connections to transform utility voltage. Over time, our system evolved into a compact Transfer Switch design — compatible with any rig and enabling crews to switch between generators and grid with ease.
EDT grew through the industry cycles: the Barnett came and went, followed by the Bakken boom, the environmentally sensitive DJ Basin, and now the Permian Basin — the heartbeat of our operations.
